B-i-z-a-r-r-e! Man rapes own mother, mother-in-law

A 32-year-old farmer in Kaduna state, Shekari David, who was arrested recently by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, for carrying out several armed robberies and rape in Kaura Local Government area of Kaduna State, has confessed raping his own mother and mother-in-law who he said were between the ages of 65 and 70. He also said that his wife has abandoned him and married another man because of his penchant for raping older women

   Sources at the IRT, disclosed that David ran into trouble recently when the operatives who were deployed to Kaduna State by the Inspector General of Police to combat the high rate of kidnapping, armed robbery and violent crime, got information that he and members of his gang who specialized in snatching motorcycles from their owners at gun point, were planning to carry out an operation around Kaura Local Government headquarters.

ASUU not going on strike soon, says Ogunyemi..

Following a tweet by a handle, @Official_ASUU, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has said it does not have an official Twitter handle and has no plans of going on strike anytime soon. The user had tweeted, “Thinking of going on another three months strike action..” which received a lot of backlash, as the Nigeria Twitter community perceived the handle as the official Twitter handle of the union. The union, which spoke through its President, Prof.Biodun Ogunyemi, in an interview with our correspondent on Monday, also said it denounces the handle and was set to take further action against those operating the account. Ogunyemi said, “First, ASUU does not have an official Twitter handle. Those who are operating that handle are fraudsters.
