Nothing will provide them with better mental, physical and emotional development than nature! Children don't need iPads and iPhones, give them more than electronics, teach them to use their imagination! It's not the easy way out, but boy it's worth it when you see your kids climb trees and drum on lamp posts because it's fun! Stop and smell the flowers

A student of the University of Ilorin in his mid-20s, name withheld, has reportedly committed suicide at the weekend over unmet academic expectation. Tribune Online gathered that the deceased, from the Faculty of Agriculture, had failed in his final year project the last session and was made to repeat the current one. It was also gathered that the deceased student decided to take his life because he could no longer achieve the Second Class Upper Division grade which he had expected to make in his final year result. The deceased was said to have died after he drank a pesticide called Sniper. CHRIST THE KING SUNDAY INTRODUTION AND HISTORY Christ the King Sunday celebrates the all-embracing authority of Christ as King and Lord of the cosmos. Officially called the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King, it is celebrated on the final Sunday of Ordinary Time, the Sunday before Advent. In 2015, the feast falls on November 22nd. INTRODUCTION AND HISTORY Pope Pius XI instituted The Feast of Christ the King in 1925 for the universal church in his encyclical Quas Primas . He connected the increasingly denial of Christ as king to the rise of secularism. ASUU not going on strike soon, says Ogunyemi..

Following a tweet by a handle, @Official_ASUU, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has said it does not have an official Twitter handle and has no plans of going on strike anytime soon. The user had tweeted, “Thinking of going on another three months strike action..” which received a lot of backlash, as the Nigeria Twitter community perceived the handle as the official Twitter handle of the union. The union, which spoke through its President, Prof.Biodun Ogunyemi, in an interview with our correspondent on Monday, also said it denounces the handle and was set to take further action against those operating the account. Ogunyemi said, “First, ASUU does not have an official Twitter handle. Those who are operating that handle are fraudsters. So, we are issuing a statement today to denounce that handle, and that is to enable us to take further action against those operating that account.
